Raj Kumar Dhakal

Mr. Raj Kumar Dhakal holds a Master of Arts in Anthropology, a Bachelor of Science, and a Bachelor of Education (One Year) from Tribhuvan University, Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara, Nepal. He is currently a science teacher at Gandaki Boarding School, Lamachour, Pokhara. Dhakal is also a Subject Expert (Roster) for the CDC and serves as a member of the Consultation Committee for Gandaki Province Academy of Science and Technology (GPAST), where he prepares digital materials for educational use. He has been activel involved in several educational initiatives, including the establishment of STEM laboratories in 51 schools across Gandaki Province in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, Technology, and Social Development. Dhakal is also a member of the National Astronomy Education Coordinating Committee for Nepal, under the International Astronomy Union. In addition to his contributions to education, Dhakal is the Chairperson of the Science Teachers & Association of Nepal (STAN) for Gandaki Province and served as Chairperson for STAN Kaski from 2074 to 2078 BS. His recognition includes receiving the Best Science Teacher Award at the national level from Gandaki Province and participating in the South Asian Teacher Educators (SATE) Fellowship from May 2022 to March 2023 with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
