    Dr. Sanjay Sharma

    Dr. Sanjay Sharma holds a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology from the National University of Singapore (NUS). His doctoral research examines women’s lived migration experiences under mobile patriarchy. Mobile patriarchy underscores the transnational mobility of patriarchy between the origin societies and the destinations mediating and governing women’s experiences and agency. Sanjay uses feminist methodologies, visual and virtual ethnography, and feminist historiography in his research. Sanjay has more than 13 years of research and development experience in the areas of migration, gender, climate change, governance, elections, political economy, trade, private sector engagement, historiography, social memory, alternative research methodologies, Gurkhas, Nepal, South Asia.
