Siddartha Sapkota
Siddartha Sapkota is an undergraduate Environmental Science student at Amrit Campus, Tribhuvan University, with a strong interest in biodiversity conservation, citizen science, and community-based environmental initiatives. A passionate butterfly enthusiast, he has organized butterfly conservation awareness programs, led butterfly watching events, and contributed to butterfly diversity and abundance mapping in Nepal. He works closely with Dr. Prayan Pokharel on butterfly research and conservation initiatives, with a particular focus on field surveys, biodiversity documentation, and public engagement.
Beyond his research interests, Siddartha is actively involved in environmental leadership and youth engagement. He is the Founder of Greenalaya Nepal and serves as the President of the Leo Club of Pokhara North (L/Y 2025–2026), where he leads initiatives promoting environmental awareness, conservation, and sustainable community action. His broader interests include ecology, environmental education, climate resilience, pollinator conservation, and fostering meaningful public participation in biodiversity conservation.
